This Privacy Policy describes how the Smart Alarm mobile application ("the App", "we", "us") handles information when you use it. The App is a mission-based alarm clock that runs primarily on your device.

1. Summary

Your alarms, settings, and preferences are stored locally on your device. We do not have a server that holds your personal alarm data.
We use Google Firebase for anonymous analytics and crash reporting to improve the App.
We display ads via Google AdMob, which uses an advertising identifier.
We never sell your data.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information stored on your device

The following stays on your device and is not transmitted to us:

Alarms you create (time, label, repeat schedule, ringtone choice, snooze settings, assigned "mission" type).
App preferences (theme, language, sound volume, vibration toggle).
Files you pick as custom alarm sounds (read locally; not uploaded).

This data is stored using the operating system's standard local storage (shared_preferences) and a local SQLite database. Uninstalling the App removes it.

2.2 Permissions the App may request

Permission	Why
Notifications	Show and ring scheduled alarms.
Schedule exact alarms / run in background	Trigger alarms at the exact set time even when the App is closed.
Camera	Only used when you choose the QR-code mission to dismiss an alarm. Frames are processed on-device and are not recorded or transmitted.
Motion sensors	Only used when you choose a motion-based mission (e.g. shake to dismiss). Sensor data is processed on-device and not transmitted.
Vibration	Vibrate the device when an alarm rings.
Storage / files	Let you pick a local audio file as a custom ringtone.
Query installed apps (Android)	Let you assign an alarm action that launches another app you have installed. We use this only to display the list and launch your selection; we do not transmit it.

2.3 Information collected automatically

To keep the App reliable and to understand which features are used, the App integrates the following services:

Firebase Analytics — anonymous, aggregated usage events (e.g. "alarm created", "mission completed"), device model, OS version, app version, locale, time zone, and a randomly generated installation ID. No alarm contents or personal labels are sent.
Firebase Crashlytics — if the App crashes, we receive a crash report with the stack trace, device model, OS version, app version, and a randomly generated installation ID. This helps us fix bugs.
Google AdMob — we may show ads. AdMob may access your device's advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID / Apple IDFA) and approximate, coarse data (e.g. country) to serve and measure ads. On iOS, AdMob only uses tracking identifiers if you grant permission via the system "App Tracking Transparency" prompt.

3. How We Use Information

To make alarms ring at the right time and let you dismiss them via the chosen mission.
To remember your settings across launches.
To measure overall app usage and stability (anonymous/aggregated only).
To display ads and measure their performance.
To comply with legal obligations.

4. Third-Party Services

The App relies on services from Google LLC. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies:

Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics) — firebase.google.com/support/privacy

We do not control and are not responsible for the practices of these third parties.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the third-party processors listed in Section 4, and only the data they need to provide their service to us. We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or to protect rights and safety.

6. Data Retention

Local data (alarms, settings, files) persists on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App.
Firebase Analytics retains event data per Google's default retention period (currently up to 14 months).
Firebase Crashlytics retains crash reports for up to 90 days.
AdMob retains advertising data per Google's AdMob retention policies.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you live (e.g. EEA, UK, California), you may have the right to:

Access, correct, or delete personal information about you that we hold.
Withdraw consent for analytics, crash reporting, or personalized advertising.
Object to or restrict certain processing.
Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

You can reset your advertising identifier at any time from your device settings (Android: Settings → Google → Ads; iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking). To make a request, contact us at the email below.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect data in transit (HTTPS/TLS) to third-party services. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. International Transfers

Firebase and AdMob may process data in countries outside your own, including the United States. By using the App, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in those countries.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
